North Central London Integrated Care System (ICS) and gbpartnerships shortlisted as finalists in two categories for the HSJ Partnership Awards 2023
North Central London ICS and gbpartnerships are delighted to announce that two significant projects entered into the HSJ Partnership Awards 2023 - Finchley Memorial Hospital Community Diagnostic Centre and Primary Care Patient Record Room Conversion project – have both been shortlisted, recognising their outstanding dedication to improving healthcare and effective collaboration with the NHS.
The Finchley Memorial Hospital Community Diagnostic Centre, delivered in partnership by North London Estate Partnerships, North Central London ICS, gbpartnerships and Community Health Partnerships, has been shortlisted for Estates Optimisation Project of the Year. A key advantage of the public private partnership that delivered the CDC was its ability to deliver significant additional diagnostic capacity in an accessible location and at pace. The CDC, hosted by Royal Free London NHS FT, is supporting acute trusts across north central London with their elective recovery and is providing additional testing capacity, earlier diagnosis, greater convenience to patients and supporting the drive to reducing health inequalities.
The Primary Care Patient Record Room Conversion project, delivered in partnership by North Central London ICS, gbpartnerships consult and Ingleton Wood, has been shortlisted for Primary Care Project of the Year. The project repurposed primary care spaces at 20 sites across North Central London used to store patient records into clinical, virtual and clinical support spaces by removing the patient records into off-site storage and converting the spaces. Capacity for more than 400,000 additional face-to-face or virtual appointments was provided for c. £2.4m with no additional revenue impact.
The national healthcare sector faced innumerable pressures over the past 12 months – yet the standard and overriding positivity of the partnerships this year highlight the enduring dedication to improving patient outcomes.
Nicola Theron, Director of Estates at North Central London ICS comments:
“We are delighted to have been shortlisted for these two awards recognising the collaborative efforts and dedication of our teams. We are committed to delivering improved outcomes for patients, and to be chosen among the other incredible nominees is a wonderful achievement. This nomination has been a tremendous boost to both to our team and our partners and I am sure it will bolster our continued efforts to improve.”
HSJ editor Alastair McLellan comments:
“We would like to congratulate North Central London ICS on being nominated in the Estates Optimisation Project of the Year and Primary Care Project of the Year categories ahead of HSJ Partnership Awards 2023. We are looking forward to welcoming them to the ceremony in March, to join us in recognising the very best collaborations and innovations in the healthcare sector. This year’s finalists are of an outstanding calibre and all of them are exceptionally dedicated to enhancing healthcare across the UK.”
The HSJ Partnership Awards recognise and honour the most effective partnerships, innovative projects and collaborations in the UK health system. The prestigious award programme, now in its sixth year, is not just a celebration of success stories but also a platform to shape the future of our new integrated health and care system.
The judging panel comprised a diverse range of highly regarded figures across the NHS and wider healthcare sector. To be shortlisted as a finalist for these awards, despite tough competition from a pool of brilliant applications, is a mark of real achievement for North Central London ICS. The two award entries have been selected based on their diligence, ambition, and the positive impact that they have had on both practitioners and patients within the health care industry.
The winners will be selected following a rigorous judging stage ahead of the HSJ Partnership Awards 2023 awards ceremony. The awards evening is expected to be attended by national healthcare leaders and professionals from both the NHS and private sector as well as figures from non-clinical backgrounds to celebrate innovation and collaboration in healthcare.
