Sandwell Estates Partnership event looks at the role primary care can play in health inequalities.

On Thursday 12 May, gbpartnerships consult hosted an event on behalf of Sandwell Estates Partnership at West Bromwich Albion Football Club. The event brought together senior leaders from across health and local authorities to consider the role primary care estate can play in addressing health inequalities. Dr Kelechi Nnoaham delivered an excellent health inequalities presentation: “Thinking about the population that generates the patient”, covering the Marmot Curve (socio-economic gradient in health), the Inverse Care Law and NHS organisations as Anchor Institutions. This was followed by lots of stimulating conversation and positive connections that will hopefully lead to change. Thank you to everyone who attended and participated, our sponsors FES Group, our fellow Sandwell LIFTCo partners - Community Health Partnerships and Equitix - hosts for the event West Bromwich Albion Football Club and all those involved in making the event a success. More information about the event and a full writeup will follow. In the meantime, if you would like to find out more, please contact Alston Owens.
