On the first day of Christmas...

Updated: Mar 18, 2021

This Christmas, the gbpfoundation is making a range of donations to good causes and charities that are close to the hearts of our staff.

On the first day of the 12 days of Christmas giving, the gbpfoundation donated £250 to the Pendeford Pathways Project. The project was nominated by Rose Taylor, gbp Office Manager and Quality Controller.

Pendeford Pathways Project was formed by 10 members of Pendeford Seventh Day Adventist Church in response to the Covid-19 lockdown in March, with the aim of maintaining contact with the families of the children who frequented the church on a Saturday without their parents.

Based in Pendeford, Wolverhampton - an area of the West Midlands with high-levels of deprivation - the volunteers have been supporting children and families using their own personal funds.

This Christmas will be very challenging for families supported by the Project. Many will struggle to make ends meet and the donation from the gbpfoundation will provide more support for the families, enabling them to receive more than a basic food parcel, at a time when a boost to their morale is much needed.

To find out more about the project, search on Facebook for Pendeford Pathway Projects.
