Towards the end of June, Paula Barker MP visited Kensington Neighbourhood Health Centre as part of her fact-finding visit to a range of health & wellbeing centres across the patch. The visit was facilitated by gbpartnerships - on behalf of LIFTCo Liverpool & Sefton Health Partnership – and the LIFT Council.
Paula is the Labour MP for Liverpool, Wavertree, and currently undertakes the role of Shadow Minister (Levelling Up, Housing, Communities and Local Government). Paula was particularly interested in encouraging better use of the LIFT estate by voluntary / third sector organisations.
Kensington Neighbourhood Health Centre opened in March 2013 and is situated on a major strategic gateway to Liverpool city centre. The health centre replaced existing portable cabins and poor-quality accommodation, whilst providing additional capacity to deliver a wider range of services.
