Staff at gbp have raised an impressive £1,420 for two deserving charities in the runup to Christmas. This achievement rounds off a year of charitable contributions, reflecting the team's dedication to giving back to their community.
In November, members of the gbp develop team committed to walk 121 miles each throughout the month to raise funds for The Royal British Legion, a charity providing vital support to the Armed Forces community. Together, the team walked over 1,000 miles, smashing their fundraising target by collecting £1,000. A heartfelt thank-you goes out to everyone who sponsored the team, whose generosity kept them motivated during this endurance challenge.
In December, gbp staff turned their attention to Scotty's Little Soldiers, a charity supporting children and young people who have lost a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. Through the annual gbp staff Christmas event, the team raised £710 for the charity. This amount was then match-funded by the gbp foundation, bringing the total donation to £1,420. The funds will help Scotty's Little Soldiers provide essential support for bereavement, well-being, education, and development.
The £1,420 raised during these two months is just one part of gbp's 2024 fundraising journey. Over the year, the team has taken part in sponsored runs, bake sales, and range of other activities including numerous volunteer days, collectively contributing to a variety of charitable causes.
Elaine Siew, gbp group CEO said:
