This Christmas the gbp foundation is making donations to 12 good causes and charities that are close to the hearts of our staff.
On the 12th and final day of gbp’s 12 days of Christmas giving, the gbp foundation has donated to two good causes... a donation of £200 is on its way to Radwinter Primary School and another donation of £200 to Wolverhampton University’s Chaplaincy Christmas Appeal 2022.
gbp’s Managing Consultant, Ian Sabini, nominated Radwinter Primary School for a donation as it provides invaluable support for the local community. The donation will go towards a portable Design Technology oven to improve students experience and learning of food relationships, cooking, sustainability and more.
gbp’s Chief Executive, Elaine Siew, nominated Wolverhampton University’s Chaplaincy Christmas Appeal 2022 for a donation as this year, the Chaplaincy appeal is supporting Periods Matter, distributing products to those in need, fighting for reform and education and encouraging reusable and biodegradable products.
For some individuals, it can be quiet challenging to be able to afford period products each month. Periods Matter aims to bring about policy change, reduce period poverty, deliver menstruation workshops to schools and community groups, and help anyone in need to stay healthy and well through donations of period products, essential items, and one-to-one support.
Working in conjunction with Periods Matter, the University of Wolverhampton supports students and staff who are struggling. Men can also access this support for their sisters, mums, or partners. The donation will be used to help fund some of the expenses the Charity faces.
We hope that the donation makes a difference to those in need at this time of year.
