This Christmas, the gbp foundation is making donations to 12 good causes and charities that are close to the hearts of our staff.
On the second day of gbp’s 12 days of Christmas giving, a donation of £400 is on its way to the North Birkenhead Development Trust which manages the St. James Centre at the heart of one of the most deprived areas in the country.
gbp Consultant, Tasmin Pursell, nominated the cause for donation as it provides invaluable support for the local community, with the Centre being a Warm hub and Foodbank hub and supplying practical support for vulnerable families. A ‘home from home’ for the community, with passionate and enthusiastic staff and volunteers.
The donation will be used to pay for over 100 Christmas Eve boxes, which will then be distributed to local children from families facing hardship during the festive season. The boxes will contain 2 books, craft materials, colouring pencils, and chocolates.
We hope that the donation makes a difference to those in need at this time of year and put a smile on the faces of those who receive one of the boxes.
