Day 5 of 15 Days of Christmas Giving: Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust

On the 5th day of gbpartnerships’ 15 days of Christmas giving, a donation has been made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust - a charity providing personal support to people affected by Pulmonary Fibrosis, a very debilitating and life-limiting illness.

The charity was nominated by Miah Suemul, gbp’s Head of Financial Reporting, whose family has been affected by fibrosis in the past year.

Miah commented:

“Fibrosis has had a huge impact on my family at the back end of last year and the start of this year. We were given the shocking news that my Grandad had been diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. We were it is told that the fibrosis was terminal, and his life expectancy was between 2 to 5 years. My grandad would struggle to breath in the mornings and found it hard to do much as he would have shortness of breath. We contacted the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust, and they were amazing at being able to provide us with the knowledge and support we needed in the early stages of diagnosis. The earlier the Pulmonary Fibrosis is diagnosed the more that can be done for them. I would like gbp to donate to Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust to not only raise awareness of Pulmonary Fibrosis but also to say thank you for their support when we needed them.”
