On the 14th day of gbp's 15 days of Christmas giving, a £250 donation has been made to the Standing Tall Foundation.
Nominated by Wendy Spencer, gbp's Group Services and Quality Director, the Standing Tall Foundation provide free to the user counselling services for Mental Health, Addiction and Wellbeing services for all the community, including veterans and their families. They work with employers, individuals, prison and probation services and anyone who walks in off the street or is referred for support.
The charity is expanding very quickly to increase support and the number of sessions they can deliver for children, responding to the growing need in this area: the number of children waiting to access CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) would fill 3 Wembley football stadiums.
Wendy commented on her nomination:
“Standing Tall Foundation provide vital support for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our society. I am proud to have been a trustee for almost a year now, supporting their growth and increasing the services they can offer. I also support their fundraising and this donation will go towards supporting more people to access their services.”
