Wood Green Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) will bring diagnostic services to the heart of Wood Green, a busy North London High Street.
The site was selected for its accessibility to a community which needs these services but is currently not getting timely diagnoses for a variety of reasons. By making these services available within a retail shopping mall it is expected that the uptake will increase significantly. It will take pressure away from local hospitals, and early diagnosis is key to reducing long-term #healthcare costs.
The scheme is part of an NHS England programme to establish 40 new diagnostic centres in community settings. The Wood Green CDC will provide Phlebotomy, X-ray, Utrasound and Ophthalmology, which is planned to be operational in June 2022.
The project is being delivered by Capital & Regional in partnership with the North Central London - Integrated Care System. gbpartnerships consult is supporting the ICS as Technical Advisor, and provided the initial feasibility study and design concept.
