A Playground of Possibilities at Barking Child and Family Health Centre

We’re thrilled to announce the completion of a brand-new playground at the Barking Child and Family Health Centre, a space designed to enhance the well-being of children and families in our community. This project was made possible through partnerships and funding from Barking, Dagenham & Havering LIFTCo and Galliford Try Facilities Management. Their support has been instrumental in turning our vision into reality.

Children are at the heart of Barking Child and Family Health Centre. Recognising the importance of play in a child’s development, this playground has been built to provide a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children accessing our services. From climbing panels and sensory walls to talking flower tubes, this project is as much about fun as it is about community engagement.

Why It Matters:

  • Health and Well-being: Play encourages physical activity and supports mental health.

  • Inclusivity: The space is accessible to children of all abilities.

  • Community Impact: Local families now have a dedicated place to gather, connect, and create positive memories.

The playground, designed and delivered by Sovereign Design Play Systems, aligns with our sustainability goals. Using FSC-certified timber, locally sourced materials, and sustainable practices, this project reflects our commitment to creating a better environment for future generations.

As we prepare for a public open day to celebrate this milestone, we invite the community to come together and explore a space built for play, growth, and joy.
