The City of Coventry Health Centre buzzed with activity on Friday, May 31, as more than a dozen voluntary and community groups joined forces with NHS services to welcome visitors and patients to a vibrant community day. The event, aimed at fostering connections and empowering individuals to prioritize their health and well-being, was hailed as a resounding success.
Hosted by Arden Estate Partnerships, Community Health Partnerships, and gbpartnerships, the event offered a variety of free resources and activities designed to promote healthier and happier lives. From informative sessions to engaging activities, the community-focused event had something for everyone.
Visitors to the health centre gave the event a glowing review, rating it as 4.5 stars out of 5. Attendees enjoyed a unique mix of attractions, including therapy donkeys Florence and Harriet, who provided comfort and joy. Big Gobs Puppets hosted a free puppet-making workshop, sparking creativity and imagination in participants of all ages. Other highlights included a free tombola, information and advice on energy-saving initiatives, a friendship corner, and free blood pressure checks.
