2023
gbpartnerships' reach extends into Scotland as part of our partnership with Foresight, delivering management services to Hub West Scotland for healthcare buildings, and for the first time the education sector.
On the 7th February 2023, local councillors and partners met NHS leaders to formally mark the start of major works at Mossley Hill Mental Health Facility.
The £54m mental health facility is the largest project undertaken by gbp to date. Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust’s plans for the 80 bed facility will consolidate services from across Liverpool on the site of the old Mossley Hill Hospital.

The new £7m Stourport Medical Centre in North Worcestershire reaches practical completion and opens its doors to patients. This modern, accessible, and sustainable building has been delivered by the expert gbpartnerships develop team on behalf of Wyre Forest Health Partnership. It replaces and combine the town's two outdated doctors’ surgeries with an exemplary, fit for purpose centre.
2021
The UK’s greenest health centre built to meet Passivhaus certification, Foleshill Heath Centre in Coventry, opened its doors to patients in August 2021.
In March 2021, gbpartnerships built on coverage in the Southwest with the acquisition of Strategic Estates Partner, Health Innovation Partners Torbay and South Devon Ltd. The joint venture, called SDHIP, is currently developing new health and wellbeing centres in both Dartmouth and Teignmouth and supporting the Trust on a number of other projects – all aimed at improving health services in the area with a right sized, fit for purpose estate.

2015
Clock View, Mental Health Hospital opens in March 2015, the £25m building was developed by Liverpool based LIFTCo, Liverpool & Sefton Health Partnership.
Clock View is a new generation of purpose-built inpatient mental health facilities, run by Mersey Care NHS Trust. Clock View treats people for a range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety and dementia, providing 80 individual bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, across five wards.
2012
gbp’s consultancy business starts its evolution, helping clients deliver significant service improvements through property and estates planning.
Awarded Health Investor, Property Developer of the Year.
Finchley Memorial Hospital opens in July 2012, following the completion of Phase 1 of the development that included the construction of the 9,500m² new building. Phase 2 of the construction saw the demolition of the Victorian hospital and landscaping the former Bow Lanes playing fields to form the completed health campus. LIFTCo, North London Estate Partnerships (NLEP) acted as developer, as well as project manager and employers agent.
2011
Management buy-out of Assura LIFT, gbpartnerships established.
City of Coventry Health Centre opens, the £22.8m landmark building developed by Coventry based LIFTCo, Arden Estate Partnerships, was one of the first healthcare buildings to receive the BREEAM rating of excellent.
2010
Centre management services begin to be delivered in buildings across Liverpool, ensuring that buildings are safe, compliant, and utilised efficiently.
Financial close reached for 10+ LIFT buildings.
Antelope House Adult Mental Health Unit in Southampton opened in June 2010, replacing the Department of Psychiatry at the Royal South Hants Hospital site. Designed to enhance the high quality of care given and to provide a safe and secure therapeutic environment for patients. The building was developed by South West Hampshire Estates Partnership Limited.
2006
BHE bought out by Medical Property Investment Fund.
2005
First LIFT buildings developed by BHE’s LIFT Companies open their doors, driving improvements in primary healthcare and community estate across England.
Today gbp manages a portfolio of over 75 buildings with a value of over £850m.
